An ordinary girl without any super powers. Was born with a few % of Chinese blood. Wore braces and retainers before. Used to be always in her state of trance. Gets distracted easily by the surroundings. Always have ridiculousweird dreams, not wet dreams. Family/relatives call me Nurul. Friends call me Jannah.
And i definitely believe that it takes more muscle to frown than to smile =D
1st day at work [at Robinsons.] i was hoping that i'll get to work at the shoe department but i was assigned to Men's wear instead. i was taken aback at first. with no trainings, just come on the day of work itself, i was still unfamiliar with the arrangement of stocks and all. so when a customer asked for his size, i have to run all the way back to the store room , dig out the pile of clothes in the cage, search frantically for that particular clothes he wanted then run all the way back outside to hand it over. it took me quite a long time to look for most of the clothes cause like i said, i was still unfamiliar with the stocks. i had to take care of 2 departments. and when my partner went for her break, that gives me 3 departments to take care of. fold clothes, serve customers, replenish stocks , run here and there etc etc are my job.
when it was my break, my partner (name Fadillah) felt unwell so she wanted to go home. the thing is, i didn't know we have to bring along our wallet with us during work cause no one told us to do so. our bags we all piled up like one very big mountain and good luck for me finding my bag. luckily i did managed to find mine. she then accompanied me for break and we talked a lot. and i mean, a lot. it's like as if we've known each other for a very long time.
back from break, i had to take care of the 3 departments again since my partner left. very busy woman i tell you. but of course at the same time while doing the work, me, the promoters and some robinsons workers talked and crapped around (but not all the time). there's one chinese promoter asked for my number. (LOL) . for some reasons, i can tell that it wasn't a good sign. if you know me well, you would know what my answer is to that guy. worked for 11hours that day since it was christmas day and the place was packed like sardines.
somebody left 2 packets of hush puppies underwear on my counter. what is this?! can't you just leave them at the silver box where you can deliver your unwanted goods? 2nd day at work although i work with fatin, we seldom get to see each other cause we work at a different level and our shifts are all not the same. i work in the afternoon shift today and my place was in terrible mess. i had to start folding up the clothes back from square one. i felt more confident today cause i've familiarized the stock arrangements and i can answer most of the customer's questions and not just say "i'm not so sure about that sir". while folding the shirts, a malay guy asked for my number and asked me to go break with him. LOL. i got to know him from day 1.
the chinese guy that asked for my number yesterday got fired because he quarreled with our supervisor. so sad for him. but actually, i felt a slight tingle of relief he's leaving cause i don't want to see him again. but he came back to our department with his home clothes and did his usual job.
Him: You seem so busy sia. Me: Eh, you still dare to come here ah. the supervisor is just over there. Him: nevermind la. i helping my friend what. i can help you also right? (gives the slumber face) Me: (Rolls eyes) I can manage myself.
Fadillah was in the morning shift. so at 6.30pm, i had to take over her job again. today was the most busiest day. lots of customers to serve, lots of clothes to fold and lots of running to do. i seriously think they should hire more people. from the interview, out of hundreds of people that went for it, they only picked 13 people. running is good for health. even my friends had difficulty finding me cause i'm all over the place.
chopsticks and ginseng medicine were found at my counter. haix. i just feel like putting them in someone's bag.
3rd day at work i was still assigned in the afternoon shift. unfortunately, Fadillah was absent and i had to take over her job permanently. i met other new people and i love this job from the first day! did the daily routine and some irresponsible woman left her panties from the ladies department on my counter. she left it at the men's clothes for goodness sake. what's her purpose huh?! and it wasn't just underwear, it was a thong! i just pretended i didn't notice it cause the panties were placed where lots of people walk pass.
although we knew each other's name, we refused to call by our own names. instead, we call each other by what brands of departments we took care of. for example me, i took care of De Fry and Casualists. so they'll call me "De Fry". then one girl she handles the clothes at the fitting room. so we'll call her "Fitting room". lol. all this is just within my area. other people call me by name of course. 4th day at work Morning shift today. and i seriously don't like it. cause i felt totally lethargic and i kept compressing my yawn. worse, no customers to serve in the morning. that just leaves me to folding clothes and replenishing stocks which doesn't give me the rush to do the work. no running. no fun.
i've got blisters everyday. silly me forget to put on plaster on my foot. around noon, that's when customers start to get more and more. but i can't run with this stupid blisters so i managed to just brisk walk. but sometimes, i don't care but just run back to the store room cause i don't want them to keep waiting.
i found out that Fadillah is not coming to work ever again for some reasons. before my break, i was told to take care of addidas. o.0 very blur cause i really don't know about their stocks and all. luckily only a few customers approached me. then i ciao for my break. nothing much to talk about today. just that someone left a brown bikini on my counter. BOO!
someone thought that i was a Burmis. LOL? just before my end of work, i was folding the last few pieces of pants when a malay guy (promoter) approached me. from the strong smell, i can tell he smokes.
Smoker: Hey, how old are you? Me: 16. why? Smoker: Nothing. eh, you wear retainer ah? Me: Yah. Smoker: What time you go home? Me: Soon. Smoker: Oh. I going for break now. bye. see you later. Me: (starts to think he's a little bit freaky)
finally, when it was time for me to go home, i was looking for my punch card at the security post when the same guy (who was supposed to go for his break) appeared by my side. he asked my if i lost my card and i said no. after that, i went back in the store and found someone to go back home with me. Thankfully she saved me cause the guy was waiting for me at the security post. when he saw me with my friend, he just said bye and went back in the store. -_-

to get my dream phone, it's kinda impossible. the cost of the phone, it's terribly horrifying!! worse, my dad will only sponsor me with $200 and the rest i have to pay it myself. since i love to daydream, i can only dream of having the phone. so in the end, i got sony ericsson C902 (the one exactly on the picture) instead. at least the cost is still affordable for me.
went to JB a few days before. we went out around 6am to avoid the traffic jam (there's not many cars!) then headed for breakfast in JB first. after that went straight to my grandma's house. oh yes, that's the house we must always go whenever we go JB. slept for awhile cause i was totally exhausted and lack of sleep.
i was awakened by mom inviting me to go shopping. so we went Tesco first and the Dunkin donut shop caught my attention. i felt like i was in heaven, indulging those sumptuous donuts. since i was the only donut fan among my family, i get to eat more donuts then them ;P
i was with my aunty and brother most of the time. the one in the photo is my aunty. yes, my aunty is younger than me. long story :P
roamed around the supermarket for awhile then we went to Jusco. the malls are just next to each other but we still have to travel by car to go to each malls. i was looking for the socks for my new HP but can't find it. so, i got Atlanta slippers instead. at least it's something rather than nothing. i can't find anything to buy.
yada yada. we went home at night. i am still looking forward to go JB again. haix.
i can't wait for wednesday. will be going facial with my aunty. yeah man!!

my dream phone. C905
i stopped working at Hyatt Hotel cause my mom and dad don't allow. but thankfully i got this data entry job for this moment to cover up my pay.
for this holiday, i worked at the OCBC to type out some data entry, worked once as a Waitress, and coming soon, salesgirl at robinsons.
the data entry job is the easiest. sit in front of the computer, type out the account numbers and go back home safely. just that there's a lot of files to complete. yesterday i had to complete 9000++ files in just an hour. my fingers were tired after that.
as the Waitress, honestly, i love the job. unfortunately, i get disapproval from my parents.
and the robinsons, i'm so looking forward to it. can't wait to start working with fatin again. she got to work as a cashier. argh!
tomorrow i will be going around looking for my dream phone. if possible i want to buy it on the spot ;P

now i'm here sitting in front of the computer while some people are enjoying themselves at the prom organized by students. can't go today because tmr morning i have to go tangkak to celebrate hari raya haji at grandma's kampong. yes, tangkak. it's a town in between johor and malacca. now you learn something new? :D
let me talk about yesterday's first day at work at Hyatt Hotel. i came late and so so so sorry to fatin, nadrah and nafisa to keep you all waiting. nadrah is fatin's friend and nafisa is nadrah's friend so lets just make friends. the four of us got lost at first cause we were still unfamiliar with the routes that leads to certain room despite being there during our interview. i mean, we're so new so can't expect us to remember all the complicated directions.
in the toilet, we wore our smart, black uniform (hehe) then bun up our hair and put on make up. the grooming there for workers are VERY strict. girls have to wear light make up with red lipstick. red lipstick?? i feel so nyonya la and fatin said she looked so geisha. lol. then put on wax on our hair and we helped each other with the hair. 5 star hotel mah..very strict in all these.
we reported 30 minutes late cause we don't know where to put our bags. lockers are available but we were not sure of how to use them. thankfully, we didn't get reprimanded but some chinese girls who were there for the first day did. since we were late, we were only given 15 minutes to have our dinner o.0
15 minutes is not enough. we hurried and queue up the long row but unfortunately, we queued up at the chinese section. we only realised that after we sat down with our food in front of us. and we only got 4 minutes left. so, we only managed to eat bananas and drink orange juice. then rushed back to see our captain.
he taught us about the table stuffs all and what we were supposed to do for this chinese wedding. since it was our first day, we were given partners who are more experienced to work with. my partner is Chian Na and Suhaidi. they are very fun people to work with !! i have to handle 4 tables when i was only assigned to 2 tables. but it's alright. i helped Izzati with her table as well.
as a waitress, i had to carry drinks, served chinese tea, served their food, fold their napkins whenever the guests are not around, fill up their glasses, take their orders again, replace the used plates with new ones...yada yada. quite an easy job though (just because it's our first day). some of the guests are nice. there's this uncle who drank lots of chinese tea. it's our job to refill their cups but i have to refill his cup 3 times almost every 5 minutes. if i was too busy to do so, he will like stare at me and then wait for me to pour the tea when actually the teapot is just right in front if him.
Suhaidi and Izzati called him "uncle cheekopek". LOL. then after that, i got a little freaked out whenever he looked at me. another table is full of japanese guests. they didn't finish up their food and they refused to allow us to remove them from the table. however, there's A LOT of other food to be put on the table and we were kinda worried of where to put the rest.
around 11.30pm, we were called to sign out as the wedding dinner as ended. but last minute i had to distribute cupcakes to the guests. i was like, huh? i have to rush home to catch the last train! and most of the guests mabok already, maybe because they drank too much wine or beer. then got one aunty just took the leftover boxes of cupcakes and it left my tray empty. but then she asked for a plastic bag and i don't know where to get it. fortunately, Suhaidi appeared at my back and helped to settle her problems.
yada yada. after we got changed, fatin desperately needed to fill her stomach. so went to far east (in the middle of the night) to eat. first time i went out to town so late at night. i love this job!
just now went to sengkang swimming pool with my dear little cousins. too bad i didn't get a chance to play with the slide cause it was raining and then we had to go off soon. i just had to take care of my cousin and play by the baby pool.
