An ordinary girl without any super powers. Was born with a few % of Chinese blood. Wore braces and retainers before. Used to be always in her state of trance. Gets distracted easily by the surroundings. Always have ridiculousweird
dreams, not wet dreams. Family/relatives call me Nurul. Friends call me Jannah. And i definitely believe that it takes more muscle to frown than to smile =D

Friday, January 30, 2009
i got into Serangoon JC Science Stream.

that's my first choice. alhamdullilah.

okay, i've heard so many stories like people getting retained and only one malay guy got promoted to JC2 last year and even someone who mugged like crazy got retained.

F-R-E-A-K-S M-E O-U-T! (seriously)

Resolutions for this year:

- Not to daydream in lectures/ tutorials

- Not to play with my nails while lessons are going on.

- Finish up ALL homeworks before falling asleep.

- Plan out my time logically.

- Be more focus on my studies.

- Have a healthy lifestyle.

- Keep my desk clean.

- Pack my bag the night before school. (cause i usually do it 5 minutes before going out to school)

if i managed to accomplish what i have just vowed, i shall reward myself with 3 pieces of donuts per week. and if i failed to do so, i shall have
no donuts for that week. you're my witness!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAK NGAH !!! 28/1

to celebrate her birthday, she treated me to Swensens. Yup, you read that correctly. She treated me. ME. Not the other way round (where others were supposed to treat the person celebrating their birthday.)

she was craving for some chocolate ice cream and I was just craving for anything that comes from Swensens. the last time i ate at Swensens was in Sec 2 where my SJAB teacher (Mdm Noraidah) treated us, Competition Members as a reward for achieving 2nd Runner up. i still remembered helping some of them finish up their Fish n Chips.

i like their fries. besides Long John's silver's fries, now i've found a place that have addictive fries.

Hazel Daze

hmm...it seems incomplete doesn't it? that's because the cherry had gone down my oesophagus right before i took this picture.

Surprisingly, she handed me a golden packet that consists of...(you know what). it wasn't ang pao. it was my birthday gift. I repeat. BIRTHDAY GIFT o.0

let's see. firstly, she treated me on her birthday. and now, she's giving me my advanced birthday present??? too advanced maybe?

that's like another 25 days! i shall be very patient.. (ARGH!!)

dad went to India last Wednesday to shoot about surrogate mothers which is a common practice in that country. I'll wait for Channel News Asia to publish what my dad and his friend recorded during his trip. My dad will be back in 2 weeks time.

if you ask me if i missed my dad, well, that will be a rhetorical question. the longest time he ever went overseas was to Africa for a month. I was still young that time so mom always brought us to our grandparents house. my dad usually go overseas for roughly once a year. how lucky. he gets to see the world and us, stuck in our homeland. Too bad families weren't allowed to come along.

i happened to browse through some photo albums taken years back ahead. i missed sentosa. the last time i went there was when i was 6 years old.

i want to go to the Flower Festival at the Palawan Beach in Sentosa. it will be open til 1 Feb. mom is giving me the yellow light cause dad is not around. haix.

since i didn't claim my yearbook yesterday, i went off to school with Nabillah today. i sort of miss school, seriously. i missed those lessons with the class known as "walls". LOL. every morning, we had to face Maths for 2 periods and will be groaning and moaning cause of the overload of homeworks.

after that, we went off to our separate ways. While she went straight home, i went off to meet Fatin for our facial. our facial is at Tampines Interchange, the small shop which replaced Hang Ten and is beside Bossini.

i swear i'm not coming there again. honestly, they do slipshot work and i don't like it. luckily, we only paid $10 since we received a promotion.

sometimes, i get really pissed off with myself. everytime i go out, i will ALWAYS get hungry despite having a heavy lunch at home. i really don't understand why. waste my money spending on food.

after our facial, we roamed around TM and CS and then randomly decided to eat at Ramen Ten. Thankfully, i brought enough cash. we ate their buffet and it was my first time getting to pick up the plates from the moving thing that moves round and round continuously. (i really don't know what it's called). we were only allowed to take the white and black plates. red plates will be charged extra. but we only took the white plates cause the black ones don't really look appetizing (and neither do the red ones).

so we filled our stomach to satisfy our craves and i felt utterly contented with the meal i had today :)

he's so terrified of the ocean waves.

he eats sand too.

it's been so long since the last time i went to the beach. granny was craving for Komala's Thosai so we went off to East Coast Beach to satisfy her craves. before that, we went off to play by the beach and i didn't know my little cousin there is very afraid of the ocean waves.

everyone is really proud of abang for passing his driving test. he broke the record in our family for only taking it 2 times. it ain't easy to pass the driving test especially if he's only 18 years old.

now, the government have imposed a new rule. only 21 years old and above are allowed to take the driving license. thankfully abang was fast and managed to get his lessons a.s.a.p before the new rule was imposed.

so our weekend car will not only be driven by dad now as it has got a new driver.

1st choice: Serangoon JC (Sci stream)
2nd choice: Nursing course (Ngee Ann Poly)
3rd choice: Nursing course (Nanyang Poly)
4th choice: Biomedical Science (Temasek Poly)
.
.
.
.
yada yada yada. for the rest of choices are all made by my mom and brother. I'm too lazy to think of the rest of the choices just to fill up all the 12 blanks. they just checked out the course code for me and all I have to do is arrange them according to my own preference.

some ridiculous choices like chemical engineering, and nutrition, food and wellness were included as my last few choices. PRAY that I will NEVER get into them.

and I desperately want to go to my first choice of school..

O level results:

EL: B4
Combined humans (Geog/ss): A2
Emaths: B3
Amaths: B3
Science (phy/chem): A2
POA: B3
Malay: B3

L1r5: 17
L1r4: 14

i see that i achieved lots and lots of B3. as i was telling a lot of people that I dreamnt getting L1r5 17, and my dream did come true. now, I'm starting to believe in my dreams :S

my hands were trembling as i struggled to sign my name on the list. so, Mr Tan helped me to tear open the envelope while Miss Cai tried to console me, seeing me tearing. I tried my best eh to hold back my tears. too bad, the tears just overflowed. paranoid.

next step? well, TPJC may not be possible for me. so, i'm hoping for SRJC to accept me. at least i don't have to deal with the braniacs from those very good jcs.

hmmm..as compared to my prelims, i did improve. anw, it's over. i'm going to take the science stream in Serangoon JC.

honestly, I'm abit disappointed with my results. oh well, I believe maybe there's lots of good reasons behind all this disappointment.

Anyway, abang just passed his driving license!!!! this was the 2nd time he took the test and finally he passed (with flying colours). yeah man!! he's gonna be my personal chauffeur soon. hehehehehehehe. so excited!!

Singapore News

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Education said the results of the 2008 GCE O-Level Examination will be released on January 12.

School candidates may collect their results from their schools at 2pm.

[extracted http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/400799/1/.html]

Mom: If you don't get JC, just take any courses from Temasek Poly la.
Me: I don't know if I still want Nursing course or not.
Mom: Take the Early Childhood Education or what, over there. I want you to school near here.
Abang:Yah, you'll be taking 2 diploma for that course. Psychology and the Early Childhood thingy.
Mom: Since you like children so much, i believe that course suits you.
Abang: And if we're in the same school, you can just call me if you get lost xD

my mind is still jumbled up with confusion thoughts. i want to go JC cause it's a shorter route to Uni. TPJC to be exact. if possible, MJC (which i don't think i'll be able to). but still..

if i don't qualify for JC, i still have to think of other alternatives. i thought of Nursing course but the other side of me just don't like the course. i'm suddenly not interested in that course when i saw other brochures. oh well, but my ambition is still to be a nurse. that's a fact that I can't change.

bye robinsons!

so yesterday was the last day of work at Robinsons, according to our contract and i worked there for only 7 days. 7 days passed by so fast that i never felt satisfied. so i asked for extension until my O Level results but they only have vacancy for those who wants to work til end of february. since our results are gonna be released soon, I still have time to consider it and I may be extending it if i go Poly.

7 great days working with the company. one thing i don't like is that the place is frigid. I'm surrounded by air cons and i don't like it as i get cold easily. i won't catch a flu but i just felt freezing cold. i kept on having to go to the pantry room to drink the warm water.

i met syafiqah (syafiee's sister) with her family going around the store last saturday.

the people there are so fun! work will be fun with fun people around. agree?
most of the part timers are in the same state as me, waiting for o level results. but Nurul Syakinah aka Nurul starts her JC next week. JC life may be tough, but she made it easy. lol.

I'll miss working at Robinsons. I'll miss the supervisors and the crazy2 people i met. but i won't miss their Air con.
