An ordinary girl without any super powers. Was born with a few % of Chinese blood. Wore braces and retainers before. Used to be always in her state of trance. Gets distracted easily by the surroundings. Always have ridiculousweird dreams, not wet dreams. Family/relatives call me Nurul. Friends call me Jannah.
And i definitely believe that it takes more muscle to frown than to smile =D
2nd Feb. the start of the new life for freshmen to finally experience junior college life. people i knew from ESSS who got into the same junior college as me are Farid, Iylia, Brian, Jun Kai, Hafizzudin, Zaid, Khariyah (sec 5) & Anisa (sec 5).
our school ESSS uniform is EXACTLY the same as their SRJC uniform. same colour, same pattern, same pocket.
the first few hours on the first orientation day were talks presented by the Principal about the life of junior college, followed by presentations by the JC2 students about their overseas trips. Sarawak, Vietnam, Japan, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong and 3 different parts of China were where they ventured out to have their global classrooom experience. i am so signing up for these trips!
next, we had a tour around the school and the OGL (orientation group leaders) led us to their lecture halls, library, 2 cafes etc etc. in between some free times, we had our ice breaking games and in my opinion, that was just the best part of the day.
then we went to one of their classrooms and I believed that it is way smaller than our secondary school classrooms. furthermore, the tables and chairs are arranged such that we had to sit in groups. Despite, the small clasroom, there were many ceiling fans and I felt very fortunate to be the lucky one sitting right under one of the fans.
before we ended our day, those people who do not have either Amaths or Pure Science and are alocated into the Science Stream (which includes me), had to stay back cause the teacher wanted to have a small talk with us.
she warned us about the H2 Science subjects since we do not have the Pure Science background. besides that, she stressed about the majority of people who took H2 Science who had combined Sci for Os not doing well at the end of the year. that is terribly freaking me out.
what a way to end my day. then, we went off to extend our ezlink cards at the interchange and the queue was like never ending. luckily we reached there early.
tomorrow is the day we get to choose the subject combinations we want. planning to take H2 Maths, Physics, Econs. H1 Geog
and the school's cut off point increased to 17 for Science and Arts Stream. previously, it was 18 for Science and 20 for Arts. this year's intake for JC1 is 760. hmmm..that's quite a large number.
She's that girl
